All Things Go NYC, Global Citizen, Oceans Calling, CBGB Festivals Canceled Due To Nor’easter

A nor'easter is on the way, devastating every music festival in its wake. So far, All Things Go NYC, Global Citizen Festival, Oceans Calling, and CBGB Festival have all been canceled due to severe weather conditions.

The New York installment of the multi-city All Things Go Festival was supposed to kick off today and go through Sunday (Sept. 27), with acts like Ethel Cain, Carly Rae Jepsen, Zara Larsson, Lola Young, Brandi Carlile, Muna, and Grace Ives.

"After consultation with local officials, Forest Hills Stadium, and trusted weather advisors, we have made the difficult decision to cancel All Things Go NYC on September 25, 26 and 27 at Forest Hills Stadium due to severe weather conditions in the New York Metro area throughout the weekend, including high winds," the statement begins. It continues:

The safety of our fans, the artists and local crew is our top priority.

If you purchased your tickets via AXS online or by phone, a refund will automatically be issued to the credit card you used to purchase within 30 business days. Otherwise, refunds are available at your original point of purchase.

We don't really know how to put into words how heartbroken we are. Thank you for understanding, and thank you to the fans, artists, and crews who make this festival what it is.

Global Citizen was supposed to happen Saturday (Sept. 26) at Central Park with Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean, Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Shaboozey, Tomorrow X Together, Victoria Monét, Yeonjun, and Alicia Keys and friends. Here's their statement:

Due to the extreme weather forecast for New York City this weekend, we have made the difficult decision, in consultation with the City of New York and NYC Parks, to cancel this year's Global Citizen Festival.

Forecasts predict dangerous conditions and circumstances in which we cannot safely bring tens of thousands of Global Citizens, artists, crew, vendors, partners, and staff onto the Great Lawn, let alone all of the equipment required. Safety has to come first. This is the first time in 14 years we've had to cancel. We have spent this week working through countless contingencies, which were ultimately not possible, and cancelling is a decision we have not taken lightly.

Maryland's Oceans Calling originally canceled the first day due to beach erosion. But today, they issued an update, canceling the whole weekend. Headliners slated for that festival included Dave Matthews Band, Hootie And The Blowfish, Twenty One Pilots, Gwen Stefani, Mumford & Suns, and Matchbox Twenty. Here's their statement:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IS REPORTING A STRONGER AND MORE UPDATED WESTWARD TRACK OF THE NOR'EASTER STORM SYSTEM. TIDES, FLOODS, AND HIGH WINDS HAVE PREVENTED US FROM SAFELY CONTINUING THE BUILD OF OCEANS CALLING FESTIVAL.

FOLLOWING THE ADVICE OF THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AND IN COOPERATION WITH LOCAL PUBLIC OFFICIALS, WE MUST MAKE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CANCEL OCEANS CALLING 2026.

ALL TICKET TYPES PURCHASED DIRECTLY THROUGH FRONT GATE TICKETS WILL BE FULLY AND AUTOMATICALLY REFUNDED IN AS LITTLE AS 30 DAYS TO THE ORIGINAL METHOD OF PAYMENT.

CBGB Festival, which was slated for Saturday with Morrissey, Patti Smith, Interpol, and more at Brooklyn's Under The K Bridge, canceled their events:

After consultation with local officials, we have made the difficult decision to cancel The Prodigy on September 25th and CBGB Festival on September 26th due to forecasted severe weather and high wind conditions in the New York Metropolitan area throughout the weekend.

The safety of our fans, the artists, and local crews is our top priority.

Refunds are available now at your original point of purchase. Ticketholders who purchased through AXS will be automatically refunded.

All festivals said it was a "difficult decision."

Additionally, AC/DC canceled tonight's show at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium due to the weather. They also had to cancel their Sept. 16 show at Toronto's Rogers Stadium due to damage from severe weather.

Following much controversy, Ed Sheeran's Gillette Stadium shows were also canceled due to the nor'easter.
