"Zara woke up big sweden." That was what someone with the Twitter handle @BOTTLEBLONDEZ posted last November, back when Robyn first teased her single "Dopamine." That phrase has been in my head ever since. If it means nothing to you, the idea is that the sudden viral success of the long-toiling Swedish pop star Zara Larsson was enough to stir Robyn from her years-long slumber. I love it. "Big Sweden" is an amazing nickname, and it needs to stick. With that in mind, I must report that Big Sweden has a new remix with Zara.

Big Sweden did wake up. Earlier this year, Robyn returned with her very short, very fun album Sexistential. One of its best songs is "Talk To Me," the single where Robyn reunited with her old songwriting partner Max Martin. Today, Robyn shares "Talk To Me, Zara," the new remix that turns that song into a duet with the titular star. (I tried typing "Little Sweden" for Zara Larsson, but it didn't quite work, since Zara Larsson is not actually little and also it looks too close to the name of the Swedish band Little Dragon. That's just a little peak behind the blogging curtain.)

"Talk To Me, Zara" is a real-deal remix, not just a version of the original track with a pasted-in second verse. Like Robyn's "Blow My Mind" remix with Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, it completely reworks the track and turns it into an actual collaboration between the two artists. This is the second time that Robyn and Zara Larsson have teamed up for a remix. Back in May, Larsson released her remix album Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, and Big Sweden showed up on the new version of "Puss Puss." Also PinkPantheress just scored a worldwide smash when Larsson appeared on her "Stateside" remix, so the Zara Larsson remix business is booming.

A couple of weeks ago, Larsson was a surprise guest at Robyn's Copenhagen arena show, and the two of them debuted "Talk To Me, Zara" together. Reya Race directed the video for the remix, shooting it at that show. Check it out below.

Sexistential is out now on Konichiwa/Young.
