Hey, here's a random-ass combination! Right now, Guns N' Roses are on one of their many global stadium tours. On Wednesday night, they hit Toronto's Rogers Stadium. In the process, they crossed paths with big-voiced country star Chris Stapleton, who will headline a show at the very same venue tonight. Presumably, that's why Stapleton put in a surprise appearance during GNR's set last night.
If there's any previous crossover between Guns N' Roses and Chris Stapleton, I sure can't find it. At last night's show, however, Stapleton joined the band for their version of the Bob Dylan classic "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" — a song that those of us who were kids in the '90s might consider to be a Guns N' Roses classic. Chris Stapleton once again took the opportunity to show that he can sing, which is what he does whenever anyone puts a mic in front of his face. Watch a fan video below.
At the end of the song, Axl Rose told Stapleton, "We'll see ya tomorrow." Will Rose repay the favor at Chris Stapleton's show tonight? Probably not, right?
