"Townies" by Wednesday — that's a good song. The best song of 2025, in fact. Townies, a Los Angeles-via-Boston emo band, tweeted shortly after the Bleeds release, "Wait til they hear Wednesday by Townies." Now, they've finally delivered on that promise.
The group released "Wednesday" on — of course — Wednesday (Aug. 12). It's a rambunctious emo anthem with all the typical emo things: someone's in over his head, guts are being spilled, dudes are hanging by their neckties (I guess that's not too typical). It was recorded with producer Billy Mannino, who's worked with acts like Oso Oso and Macseal. Watch the accompanying music video directed by Zach Miller below.
