Meadow Announce Self-Titled Debut Album: Hear “Yon”

12:11 PM EDT on August 18, 2026

The word "meadow" connotes a certain level of peaceful natural stasis. A meadow is a place to relax, to watch butterflies and let sun rays hit you. But it would appear that there's nothing static about Meadow, a Bay Area band with a huge and fuzzily angular guitar sound. Before they get around to releasing their full-length debut, they've become a whole other band.

Meadow have been putting out demos of clanging, meditative post-hardcore since 2023. They recorded their self-titled debut early in 2025, but it took them a while to finish it. While the album was being mixed, the band went on hiatus and changed their lineup, with remaining members Cole Baron and Ghemarson Deang pushing in a more experimental direction.

Now, Meadow is finally set to come out on Cherub Dream, the cool Bay Area label that also put out recent music from acts like starbelliedbug, Welcome Strawberry, Tricky FM, and Sloome. They're not exactly the same band anymore, so the record promises to capture a moment in time, one that's maybe already gone. Today, Meadow share lead single "Yon," a vast, crushing track that manages to recall Unwound and Deftones at the same time. Check it out below.
