Beethoven's "Für Elise" is one of the most famous pieces of piano music in the world, and now it is also the title of a Blondshell song, though without the diacritic. The new single is the latest preview of her third album Violin, arriving next month.
About the track, Sabrina Teitelbaum explains, "You're trying to figure out what you want your life to look like, and what you want playing at your wedding, but you don't even know where to start. You're picking the wrong song."
"Fur Elise" has a big chorus and some good, relatable lyrics: "I want the option to cry unscathed/ I want the option to choose when to and not to asphyxiate." It's the Violin closer and serves as a cathartic, sweeping finale. Listen below.
