Wisconsin fuzz-pop artist Graham Hunt made his name with no-budget home recordings, but he went bigger with his forthcoming LP American Pyramid, recording most of it with an eight-piece band at Minnesota's stories Pachyderm Studios. We've already posted the early singles "Waiting For You To Come Home," "Riverboat Blues," and "Getting Older." With the LP dropping later this week, Hunt shares one more advance song today.
Hunt's new track "Guardian Angel's Arms" is a lush, twinkly indie pop tune about a psychedelic vision. It's fun to hear him increasing his sonic scope, but the song still has the idiosyncratic intimacy of his older records. Shannon Lawrence Connor and Sheridan Michael Connor directed the song's lo-fi sci-fi video; check it out below.
American Pyramid is out 8/28 on Run For Cover.
