If you ever saw underground metal greats Neurosis live, at really any point in the band's history, then you already know they were truly transcendent in person. Earlier this year, the band made an out-of-nowhere return, replacing disgraced ex-frontman Scott Kelly with their contemorary Aaron Turner, known for leading bands like Isis and SUMAC. The moment that they made that announcement, Neurosis dropped the monster surprise album An Undying Love For A Burning World. It's fucking awesome. Neurosis made their live return at Montana's Fire In The Mountains fest last month, playing their first show in seven years, and they played Asheville with Acid Bath, Melvins, and Kylesa last weekend. Now, they're hitting the road once again.
This fall, Neurosis will play a series of shows in San Francisco, Brooklyn, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, and LA. They'll have handpicked openers at each of those gigs. As widely speculated, Neurosis have also been added to the bill at Converge's Saddest Day fest in Boston, and they'll headline the next Roadburn Festival in the Netherlands. You should really, really go see them if you get a chance. Check out their dates below.
