Just when you thought Stefani Germanotta's baby had the intersection of pop stardom and "Googoo Gaga" all to themselves, here come Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul. The Belgian musical duo knows a thing or too about artpop, and they prove it once again on new single "Googoo Gaga," their first release since 2022 debut album Topical Dancer.
The throbbing, strobing, high-energy dance track is billed as a reflection on motherhood. "It takes a village, and yet you’re doing it alone," Adigéry and Pupul explain. "This record was made as we both became parents: ‘Googoo Gaga’ is about feeling drained, the self-sacrifice, the overwhelm, yet embracing all of it."
The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Lennert Madou, inspired by the Flemish folklore figure De Mammelokker. Watch below.
