Over a very short stretch of time, Boston's Haywire have vaulted to the absolute top of the hardcore heap, playing crazy shows on an absurd schedule and becoming viral stars without compromising their presentation. They've done all this without having all that much music out on the market. With one album and a few splits, Haywire's entire recorded output is what, 40 minutes? Maybe 50? That's about to change.
Next month, Haywire will release I Don’t Wanna Say Goodbye, the Roadrunner Records debut that they recorded with Citizen's Mat Kerekes. We've already posted lead single "Interstate Love Affair," and now they've shared the big, bruised, earnest singalong "Sincerely Yours." It still sounds like Haywire, but this is an ultra-melodic take on their style that really dials into the '90s Epitaph punk elements that were already fully present. In the Luis Hernandez and Tyler Bradberry directed the song's video, in which an abused skater kid finds a supportive community and fucks his dad up. Check it out below.
