Earlier this year, Gnarls Barkley — the successful 2000s duo of CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse — released their very unnecessary "final album." A week ago, on Sept. 18, Gnarls Barkley announced that they'd return to the stage after 18 years with the To Whom It Still Concerns US and UK Tour, with guests Gallant and Duckwrth. When the tour was first announced, Billboard either confirmed or assumed Danger Mouse's involvement. But in a social media post Wednesday, CeeLo clarified that Danger Mouse will not be taking part in the tour.
Green's post reads:
total transparency @gnarlsbarkleyofficial #fans the " to whom it still concerns" tour is here! It's been almost 20 years , probably won't happen again ! There has been inquiry but "DANGER MOUSE IS NOT PERFORMING" !!!! We want no misunderstandings / disappointments etc. He is my Producer(a great one at that) ! not a performing artist .we are business partners,Whatever he decides for himself is his right...and I support him (vice versa) this is a disclaimer. #respectfully. I on the other hand will be performing Songs from these three iconic albums....it's going to be amazing and he will be there in spirit. See you #soon
