Ariel Pink brought the slithering, uncomfortable "Menopause Man" to a Guardian UK live session. It's a different vibe from first Before Today single "Round and Round": "Rape me / castrate me / make me gay" goes one line in this 'Menopause Man." Better still is the song's extended ending that simmers into muted guitar and drums, while Pink makes slurping and sucking noises into the mic.
