New Old Pavement – “Half A Canyon” (Live In Australia)

Still no confirmation on a reunited Pavement headlining Coachella '07 (we can dream, can't we?), so Matador's giving us the next best thing: a 50 (!) track reissue of Wowee Zowee. B-sides, rarities, BBC Evening Sessions, and this live version of the space-blues "Half A Canyon," in Australia, July 7, 1994.

Pavement - "Half A Canyon (Live In Australia)" (MP3)

If you pre-order the super-deluxe reissue from a participating store, you get more, more, more! From Wow-Out.com:

Wow Out! is simple. When you pre-order the deluxe, 2-CD "Wowee Zowee: Sordid Sentinels Edition" from a participating store, you will get to download a very rare live Pavement show, recorded on April 24, 1994 at the Palace in Los Angeles. Then on November 7th, when you pick up your CD at your store or when it is shipped to you, you will also receive a poster and, while supplies last, a super limited 7".

The poster features a painting by artist Steve Keene created for the original release of Wowee Zowee in 1995.

Here's a cut from that show:

Pavement - "Heckler Spray/In The Mouth Of A Desert (Live In Los Angeles)" (MP3)

Full 2CD tracklist and another cut from the album after the jump. But first ... greatest Pavement album? Go! (FYI: Crooked Rain people can slam a cock.)
