Maybe TV On The Radio's Nine Types Of Light is so romantically mellow because Jane's Addiction bassist Dave Sitek was putting the energized part of his backbone into Perry Farrell & Co's The Great Escape Artist. While in town to promote Lollapalooza Chile, Farrell premiered "End To The Lies" on the Chilean radio station Radio Futuro's "La Ley Del Rock" program. Now we have the album version sans DJ voice over. The song's not at all bad for Jane's Addiction 2011. And Sitek's thumbprints are all over it.
