New Orleans Dark Band To Watch Kindest Lines offers a shadowy Todd Taylor-directed performance video for the Cure-on-Velocity-Girl Covered In Dust standout "Destructive Paths To Live Happily." The song's the second single from that album, the trio's Alfredo Nogueira and Josh Eustis-produced debut. It's an impressively assured, easygoing collection, one that that blends those Disintegration atmospherics with down-home indie-pop and gentle post-punk guitar crescendos. That, and frontwoman Brittany Terry has a strange, awkward leave-me-alone charisma that makes this particular clip more interesting than just watching three folks run through a song in their living room, suggesting you should probably check them out whenever they drift through your city.
