The Orie Weeks III-directed video for the title track from Blitzen Trapper's Wild Mountain Nation, finds the Oregonian psych-Americana educators traversing a cut-and-paste world of mushroom clouds, guns, kites, and a single swinging monkey via balloon, horseback, aeroplanes over the sea, and more boats than a Fiery Furnaces video. They make it to outer space, amid the astrological signs, never once breaking a sweat in their cool checkered Western shirts. It offers the perfectly wacky vintage backdrop to go with their warped approach to roots (and R.E.M.) ... and promise it'll give you less of a headache than the claustro-flickering "Devil's A-Go-Go."
