San Francisco indie-pop outfit Dominant Legs secured a BTW in 2009 and landed on our list of the next year's Best New bands, though 2011 has full evolved and ready for a closeup. Once the solo project of vocalist/songwriter/Tracy Chapman aficionado Ryan Lynch, Dominant Legsincludes keyboardist/vocalist Hannah Hunt, featured heavily here, and at their finest the pair create a bright, soulful, and halting pop. You'll hear some of that Chapman on "Hoop Of Love," and this, their debut video, brings the requisite sunny days, top-down car rides, grassy field and swimsuit frolicking, etc. Whatever chemistry they bottled on this track is what they brought to this clip -- directed, produced and edited by Hayden Shiebler and Eugene Kotlyarenko -- which is both refreshingly easy-feeling and thoroughly conceived, much like "Hoop Of Love" itself. Plus Ryan got a haircut. Watch it:
