This year's Golden Globe nominations were announced this morning, great news for anyone who loves things that are like the Oscars without actually being the Oscars. And as it happens, this year's slate of nominations is awfully kind to the veterans of various early-'90s Lollapalooza tours. Miki Berenyi of Lush, there's hope for you yet!

First up, there's Trent Reznor, who took home a Globe for scoring The Social Network last year. This year, he moves one step closer to Danny Elfman mainstay status, as he and his confederate Atticus Ross are nominated for their The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo score. Meanwhile, Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell is up for Best Original Song against big guns like Elton John and Madonna, thanks to "The Keeper," his song for the movie Machine Gun Preacher.
