Last night, Mos Def and Talib Kweli revived Black Star for a pair of performances on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, first performing a new song, "You Already Knew," before hitting the J Dilla-produced "Little Brother" from The Hurricane soundtrack. Aretha Black Star, a new free mixtape from the group, is out soon. In October, Black Star took to Colbert to play a new jam called "Fix Up," the old jam "Astronomy (8th Light)" as well as doing the sit-down interview thing.
