Suitor Announce New Album Saw You Out With The Weeds: Hear “Factory”

The Cleveland post-punk band Suitor will release their new album Saw You Out With The Weeds in March via Cincinnati's Feel It Records. They recorded it in Lawrence, KS with Caufield Schnug and Lira Mondal of Sweeping Promises.

That pedigree alone should be enough to attract your cursor to the play button on lead single "Factory." But the song and its parent album live up to the lofty expectations created by those associations. Suitor cite Sonic Youth, Pylon, Women, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Unwound, and Unrest as influences, and I can hear all of that in Saw You Out With The Weeds for sure. But more than anything, "Factory" feels like Sharon Van Etten fronting Interpol, with John Corsi's bass setting the pace and vocalist Emma Shepard leaning into the drama.

Check out Adam Klopp's "Factory" video below and make your own assessment.
