Dari Bay Announce New Album Surprise Wish: Hear “We’re Gonna Be Okay”

Last year, Dari Bay shared the absolute shredder "The Joke," and we liked it a lot. Now, the Burlington band fronted by Robber Robber's Zack James is announcing their new album Surprise Wish.

Surprise Wish follows their 2023 debut Longest Day Of The Year. The second single "We’re Gonna Be Okay" is here today, and here's what James says about it:

"We’re Gonna Be Okay" is about being grateful for what you have because it can all be taken away from you. Around the time that I was writing this song my girlfriend and I were facing some obstacles in our lives, like housing displacement, some health issues, and a lot of general uncertainty. Just some "welcome to the real world" stuff hitting us from different angles all at once. It was a strange and intense time, knowing we had reached a new low point but as a result feeling really lucky to have the stuff that we did have, like our community, and each other and a hope and excitement for the future.

The track comes with a music video directed by Noah Lenker. Watch below.
