In 2024, Nia Archives released her debut album Silence Is Loud, combining jungle and indie rock and earning a nomination for the Mercury Prize. Now, she's announcing her sophomore effort, Emotional Junglist, out in July. The playful, clever breakup anthem "Boys In Blue" is out today.
For Emotional Junglist, Archives worked with producer James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Blur), Ethan P. Flynn, and Julia Michaels (Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter). Guests include Jorja Smith and Sampha.
"Boys In Blue" follows March's "Danger," and it's tinged with pop-punk infectiousness and snark. The accompanying music video matches the energy as the British musician runs through London at night. It's directed by Iris Luz, who took cues from Fiona Apple and PJ Harvey. Watch below.
