How Strange It Is Announce New Album There Is No Evil: Hear “Slime”

1:32 PM EDT on July 28, 2026

Meet How Strange It Is, a Portland band making fuzzed-out indie rock and announcing their new album called There Is No Evil today. The lead single "Slime" is a dreamy, infectious banger in the vein of Wishy or TAGABOW.

The outfit consists of Jordan Krinsky on vocals and songwriting; Caleb Ballard on guitar, clarinet, synth, and additional vocals; Annie Miranda on bass; Annie Fifer on guitar, and additional vocals; and Kyle Gordon on drums. The record was produced by Krinsky with help from Ballard and Vin Christopher.

"This album is a collage of different cases where most people act in their own self-interest at the expense of another person (or people)," Krinsky explains. "There's songs about the government, songs about getting dumped. It's kind of all over the place."
