Kings Of Leon's catalog is about to hit the double digits. In November, the longstanding Southern rock family band will release O My Beloved, their 10th album. Lead single "My Whole World" is loose and easygoing, with Caleb Followill declaring, "I'm grateful today for my whole world/ That sweet peace of mind." I mean it as a compliment when I say it has a stretching and yawning vibe, a real warmth and intimacy that this band wears well. It makes me feel like these guys took some influence from their recent collabs with Zach Bryan.
Followill shared the following statement:
We have already surpassed anything we ever imagined we could do, and we’ve built something that is so special. I thought, wouldn’t it be beautiful to make an album that is looking back on all of the things that we’ve done and appreciating how we got here. In the songs, there’s our families, stories from our childhood, things that maybe didn’t seem that significant at the time, but the way they find their way into these songs kind of lets me realize how impactful they really were in my life.
