After perking up our ears with a pair of tracks last year, the genre-blurring London quartet RIP Magic have spent 2026 compounding their already-significant buzz. They got James Murphy himself to produce January single "5words," which was rad, then dropped two more heaters, "Screwdark" and "Light Over There." Today, the inevitable album announcement has finally arrived, and along with it, another cool RIP Magic song.
The band's debut album 1,2,3 is coming quite soon. It'll be out the day before Halloween via the Partisan-affiliated section1. Along with the album news comes "Stadium Drive," a dreamy, hip-hop-infused track with a pleasing vocal assortment of the spoken and singsong variety. They've played shows with Chanel Beads, Panda Bear, and Fakemink, all of which are relevant reference points here — and don't forget that the group's Marco Pini is a touring member of Sorry.
