UPDATE: We're all very crushed to learn that Ed Sheeran's two Gillette Stadium stadium shows have been officially cancelled because of "the severe weather forecast throughout the weekend."

Ed Sheeran is still facing consequences nearly two weeks after he ousted Macklemore from his tour, which then resulted in all his other tour openers and backing band dropping off in protest. The not-complicit pop singer is slated to perform tonight and tomorrow at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA, which is owned by Kraft Group, whose Robert Kraft urged Sheeran to cut Macklemore from his tour. But now, angry fans and angry weather might cause complications for Sheeran's shows.
Fans, either disappointed in Sheeran or in the shifts his show has undergone, have been inquiring about refunds. Attorney General Andrea Campbell is fighting on behalf of these parties. She reached out to Ticketmaster to insist that it change its refund policy.
"After hearing from nearly 200 consumers who were struggling to obtain refunds from Ticketmaster for Ed Sheeran's shows at Gillette Stadium this weekend, my office jumped into action to demand that consumers be provided a clear path to get their money back if they no longer want to attend due to significant changes to the lineup," Campbell said in a statement.
Campbell argued with Ticketmaster that "unfair or deceptive acts and practices in commercial activities violate the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act." Her letter stated, "In this case, changing nearly all of the acts and performers at the same time constitutes such a dramatic change in the service that Ticketmaster's reliance on the purchase policy appears unfair."
According to Ticketmaster, refunds must be requested at least 24 hours before the show starts. Campbell urged fans to call Ticketmaster customer service at 1-800-653-8000 or follow the instructions on its website.
There's another way fans could possibly get a refund — if the event is canceled. And due to the nor'easter that's hitting New England, cancellation is a very real possibility. According to TMZ, the stage was only partially put together on Thursday. That evening, the crew was told to "pause construction, while higher ups decided whether to begin tearing it down."
No calls for cancellation or rescheduling have been made yet. "Unless you receive an email from us the event is still taking place and no refunds are available," Ticketmaster's website states in regards to cancellation for bad weather. "We can only offer refunds or exchanges if an event has been canceled or rescheduled."
The storm is expected to hit Massachusetts on Friday evening, reaching its peak Saturday afternoon.
